It is a water - based paint based on modified potassium silicate, selected charges and pigments resistant to natural light.
Potassium silicate reacts with carbon dioxide in the air to produce a strongly alkaline chemical reaction called silication.
This chemical process leads to the consolidation of the substrate down to its depth, thus eliminating the phenomenon of flaking.
In addition, the considerable increase in alkalinity creates a favourable environment for the anticorrosive protection of the metal reinforcements, if present, and preserves the substrate from mould formation.
Once dry, it creates a film - free coating with high water vapour permeability, excellent resistance to ageing, excellent resistance to weather, good resistance to temperature variations and very low dirt retention.
