Transparent Polyurethane Coating

Suitable for any substrate

Resistant to abrasion, UV rays and weathering

prodottispeciali

Description

Single-component transparent polyurethane coating based on moisture-curing aliphatic polyisocyanates, designed for tiled balconies and terraces.
Easy to apply, resistant to UV rays and yellowing.
Good resistance to alkaline and acidic solutions, as well as foot traffic.
Single-component = ready to use, no mixing required.
Moisture-curing = hardens by reacting with humidity in the air.

Surface Preparation

The substrate must be dry, clean and free from contaminants such as oils, grease, silicones or any other agents that may impair adhesion. New concrete must be left to cure for at least 28 days and moisture content must be below 4%.

Product Preparation

No preparation required
• Component A: 100 parts
• Thinner (PMS Solvent): 20%

Application Instructions

On well-cleaned tiled surfaces, it is recommended to apply a single coat diluted at 20%. Additional coats must be applied within 12–18 hours. For waterproofing purposes, a thickness of 300–350 microns is recommended. In areas with heavy foot traffic, double thickness is required, with the addition of quartz sand or polyethylene wax — to be mixed in at time of use — in order to reduce slipperiness.
?? The product must never be applied on surfaces affected by rising damp.

Application Conditions

Ambient temperature +15°C to +40°C
Substrate temperature Above +10°C
Relative humidity 40–85%

To prevent condensation, the substrate temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point.

Drying and Curing Times

Dry to touch 6–8 hours
Light foot traffic After 24–48 hours
Full cure Approx. 7 days at 20–22°C, 65% relative humidity

Overcoating Window

Maximum 24–36 hours.

Application Method

Brush or roller
• For brush application: use nylon or pure bristle brushes.
• For roller application: use a medium-nap roller.
• Apply using the cross-coating method (alternating direction with each coat).

Shelf Life

6 months in a cool, dry place (max 40°C).

Packaging

• Component A: 5 L — 1 L
• Thinner: 1.5 L
