SILINTONACO G.F. / G.M.

Silicate-based filler

High breathability

Anti - mold

prodplasticim

Code

0844

Description

Wall coating based on modified potassium silicate, inorganic pigments and mineral fillers that react with the substrate, consolidating it. Featuring high breathability, it preserves the substrate from mold formation by virtue of the high alkalinity of the silicate.

Use

Can be applied to old and new plasters based on hydraulic binders as a filler and as a substrate uniforming agent. Can be used on old paints, both organic and mineral, as long as they are absorbent and cohesive.

Surface preparation

Plasters:
Ensure that the substrate has passed a curing time of 28 days and that its moisture content is less than 10%. Remove by washing and brushing any efflorescence. Old paintwork should be totally removed. Any leveling or redoing should be done with mortars compatible with potassium silicate (pre-mixed plasters, lime, cement).
Plasters:
Ensure that the substrate has passed a curing time of 28 days and that its moisture content is less than 10 percent. Remove by washing and brushing any efflorescence. Old paintwork should be totally removed. Any leveling or resurfacing should be done with mortars compatible with potassium silicate (pre-mixed plasters, lime, cement).
Old surfaces:
Remove dust and old paint that is coming off, widen any cracks and fill them with filler. Completely remove old lime or tempera paints.
If mold is present, provide an appropriate anti-mold treatment.
Prime surfaces with a silicate-based fixative.

Preparation of the product

Ambient temperature: + 8 to 40°C
Support temperature: > than 5°C
Humidity: 0 to 75 %.
To prevent condensation, it is necessary for the substrate temperature to be at least 3°C above the dew point.

Precautions

Do not apply where there is surface condensation or under direct sunlight.
The moisture content of the substrate should be less than 10%.
Protect for at least 48 hours from rain.

Drying and curing times

Drying time depends on environmental conditions: temperature, humidity , substrate and thickness. Minimum 24 hours

Application

Plastic trowel
Spread the product evenly on the substrate and even it out before spinning begins

shelf life

1 year in a cool and dry place (max 40° C)
