Hi! I am Pasquale Semeraro and I welcome you in this third chapter in which we talk about Sable.
Sable was my first decorative of Platinum line as I already mentioned in the introduction; the idea was given to me by my children Alice and Michele, while we were playing on the seashore.
Nowadays Sable is the most required decorative by my customers; perhaps the reason lies in our childhood, when we were children and we were fascinated by this wonderful material.
Is there somebody who has ever played at the beach building castles, making forms, rolling in one of the most resistant and the lightest materials, but which manages to wrap you so gently?
I really think that everyone has played with the sand at the beach.
But the thing that puzzles more is being able to see what there is really in a grain of sand.
The doctor Gary Greenberg, who is a scientist, a photographer and a biologist, talked about this. He analyzed these grains under a microscope and he discovered a magical and colorful world.
The work of this scientist is the starting point for a seemingly banal consideration, but it is actually ignored by each of us: we must always observe with great attention even the simplest things we have around.
Through those things, you can see the universe that is hidden. (source http://www.tuttogreen.it/cosa-contiene-la-sabbia/ )
After having realized that the sand had to be an integral part of my line of decorative paints, I just ran into this great scientist who upset me, showing me what was really the sand.
It is hard to see with the naked eye, or rather it is almost impossible; but once your wall has this element, it transmits sensations that only our unconscious can perceive.
Of course the aesthetic effect of Sable which is visible to the naked eye is fantastic, but what is more valuable is what you can transfer exactly on a subconscious level.
Description
Washable finish for inner rooms based on acrylic resins in water emulsion and special luminescent particle-size pigments, which gives the product a special reflection of sand.
Use
It can be applied to wall surfaces, properly prepared with concrete, where a luminescent aesthetic appearance combined with excellent resistance to washing with cleansing agents are required.
Preparation of surfaces
New surfaces: apply a coat of our insulating product “IMPRIMITURA ACRILICA” diluted with water in ratio 1 to 5 (mix each liter of “IMPRIMITURA ACRILICA” with 5 liters of water).
Old surfaces: remove any parts that are peeling off and, after a careful cleaning of the substrate, apply a coat of our insulating product “IMPRIMITURA ACRILICA” diluted with water in ratio 1 to 5 (mix each liter of “IMPRIMITURA ACRILICA” with 5 liters of water).
Application
After an appropriate preparation of the substrate, apply the product as follows:
Apply a coat of our white product SABBIAFOND with a brush or a roller diluted with water to 20-25%. To get the colors of our color card, add the amount shown on the card Platinum Line of our dye Toner.
Apply a coat of Sable, undiluted, with the special brush.
You can get two effects depending on the application method:
Puff effect: the product is applied with the special brush, always following the same direction.
Storm effect: the product is applied crossing brush strokes in an irregular way, paying particular attention to not leave areas where the paint is spread precisely. Wait a few minutes and pass again the special brush without color on the surface.
