ResinFloor W: a durable protective and decorative coating for concrete surfaces

ResinFloor W is a self-crosslinking resin-based floor and wall coating with selected fillers and various grain sizes. Thanks to its formulation, it is able to protect concrete surfaces subjected to light traffic, such as garages and basements, with excellent hardness and resistance both indoors and outdoors.

Moreover, ResinFloor W has excellent adhesion even on ceramic tiles, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Its wear resistance can be improved with a clear water-based finishing coat, EPO W TRANSPARENT.

The product is available in different particle sizes, including fine, medium, and coarse. The particle size affects the finish of the film: the fine particle size, for example, creates a satin finish, while the coarse particle size creates a thicker and more robust finish.

Surface preparation is important to ensure good product adhesion. For rough or troweled concrete surfaces, washing with a 5% hydrochloric acid solution and subsequent rinsing with water is recommended. Let it dry for at least 12 hours and apply at least two coats with a 4-5 hour interval. For old or porous cement, lightly grind to remove friable parts, dust thoroughly, and apply a coat of product diluted with 30-40% water, or a coat of EPO W PRIMER.

For tiles, wash to remove any contaminants (grease, oil, etc.) and sand lightly with 40-60 grit sandpaper. For highly glossy, non-absorbent tiles with anti-stain treatment, it is advisable to apply a coat of epoxy primer, EPO W PRIMER, after sanding.

ResinFloor W can be applied with a spatula, brush, or roller. For spatula applications, it is recommended to use a steel spatula. For cracks, different particle sizes can be used depending on their size. For brush applications, use nylon or pure bristle brushes. For roller applications, use medium-nap rollers. In any case, it is necessary to dilute the product and apply two crossed coats.

The drying and hardening times of the product depend on the environmental conditions, but generally, it can be overpainted after 4-5 hours. ResinFloor W has a shelf life of 2 years in a cool, dry place (max 40°C).
