SOFT

Hi! I am Pasquale Semeraro and I welcome you in this first chapter about PLATINUM LINE.

We start talking about SOFT, what I call the decoration of the great artists of the Renaissance.

Indeed, this decoration reminds many monuments and ancient scenes with a beauty that still takes your breath away just by looking them.

The technique of glazing was already know and used in Egyptian art in some decorations of high importance and grandeur as the graves; SOFT reminds these effects that the ancient Egyptians used to give the greatest expression of luxury and elegance. If we think that the ancient Egyptians considered their mausoleums the most important place that they could build, this says a lot about the choice of techniques and art of decoration they applied.

Combining this effect with their beautiful drawings, the sacred place became an enchanting and divine place.

Also the Roman art knew the optical qualities that could be achieved through the application of glaze, but the highest and the sophisticated level is reached during the Renaissance, when it was used by excellent artists such as Michelangelo, Raphael, Leonardo and Titian.

Technically, a veil as SOFT is materially composed of a high amount of binder and a very small part of pigment that allows obtaining particular optical effects playing with the transparencies.

SOFT is a glossy or matt transparent finish based on acrylic resins in water emulsion and special particle-size pigments with metallic effects, which give to the places where they are applied spectacular effects and light shows.

Transparent and washable, glossy or matt finish made of acrylic resins in water emulsion and special particle-size pigments for inner rooms.

PREPARATION OF SURFACES

New surfaces: apply a coat of our insulating product “IMPRIMITURA ACRILICA” diluted with water in ratio 1 to 5 (mix each liter of “IMPRIMITURA ACRILICA” with 5 liters of water).

Old surfaces: remove any parts that are peeling off and, after a careful cleaning of the substrate, apply a coat of our insulating product “IMPRIMITURA ACRILICA” diluted with water in ratio 1 to 5 (mix each liter of “IMPRIMITURA ACRILICA” with 5 liters of water).

APPLICATION

After an appropriate preparation of the substrate, apply the product as follows:

Apply a coat of white or any color product SABBIAFOND with a brush or a roller diluted with water to 20-25%. Then apply a coat of this product undiluted with a brush.

The brush strokes on the surface must be crossed avoiding painting the same position in the same way.

SOFT can be applied to any kind of paint.
