Washable paint: 6 types so you can’t go wrong

Before we start I would like to make some important premises, in fact you should know that washable paint is not unique but there can be different types, to be used according to one’s needs, and in this article we are going to analyze in detail all the details that make these paints different from each other, and especially their use, this is to avoid you from buying a wrong product due to not knowing about it.

I have classified these paints into 6 types so that it is easier for you to be able to identify them and then choose them according to your need.

THE INEXPENSIVE WASHABLE PAINT.

This kind of paint is traditionally the best-selling paint in any online retailer or large shopping mall, but as is very often the case, it does not tend to be the one that suits everyone.

Often selling a product at a low price with the promise of a result is the easiest thing to succeed at, especially when the meeting from buyer and retailer boils down to a simple price tag inserted on a shelf and with an inscription that says WASHABLE PAINT, but definitely not the one that allows you to retain a customer and reap rewards in the long run.

Unfortunately, the lack for many customers of affordability leads many retailers to make choices based on price and not on product quality, for many it is better to have the egg today than the chicken tomorrow.

These are business choices that I do not dispute, but certainly far from mine.

In fact, for those who do not know the real differences and will not read this article, it will also be very difficult to understand that they have not made a right choice; perhaps they will be satisfied with a poor result without knowing the alternatives.

THE TRADITIONAL WASHABLE PAINT

This kind of paint unlike the first is very suitable in secondary environments, such as garages, workplaces that are not very prone to dust, and perhaps in apartments where the risk of soiling the walls is really very low.

Normally it is a paint obtained by the addition of a good amount of vinyl resins, which still allow washability but without the need to scrub very thoroughly.

In our specific case the paint in question is IDROCOLORE

LA PITTURA LAVABILE VINILICA

Unlike traditional washable paint, this paint contains a greater amount of vinyl resins thus making the paint more washable with superior rub resistance.

In our specific case, the paint in question is called DELUX CASA NORMALE  and also has in it an addition of pigments such as to allow a higher coverage yield than normal.

Excellent and indicated in apartments where perhaps there is no presence of children and therefore the continuous need to have to remove dirt from the wall due mainly to pencil marks or handprints.

Also excellent in work environments such as offices.

THE EXTRA ACRYLIC WASHABLE PAINT

This paint unlike the vinyl one, changes the type of resin, in fact an Acrylic one is used.

This resin is much better performing from the point of view of washability and rubbing, in fact we are faced with a paint excellent to use in the home with the presence of children.

Exceptional in work environments that are quite prone to dirt or dust; typical example could be a carpentry/banquet shop, where it is necessary to dust the walls to avoid inhaling fine dust.

In our case it is called DELUX CASA EXTRA  and once laid in place it has an opaque appearance.

THE SUPERWASHABLE EXTRA ACRYLIC PAINT

Extra acrylic superwashable paint is the top of the line in washable paints.

In this paint, the amount of acrylic resins are very high and especially there is a higher concentration of pigments that increase the covering power.

This is top of the line for those who have children in the house who often write on the walls and whom we are forced to run after to clean up.

Very resistant to abrasion and chemicals it can even be washed with degreasers in case of somewhat more persistent dirt stains.

I personally have some walls painted with this paint, and my wife cleans them using “Chanteclair.”

In our specific case the paint in question is called VELAX and we can have two types of appearance:

• Satinato
• Lucido

In no case, however, are the technical characteristics of the product altered, whether he chooses satin or gloss.

THE ANTI-MOLD WASHABLE PAINT

A vinyl resin-based product, anti-mold washable paint is suitable for use in environments where mold may be present or occur.

It is practically a paint that manages to combine the action of water repellency with that of anti-mold, thanks to the addition of anti-mold and anti-algae agents.

In our case, the anti-mold washable paint has the name SANAMUR, and it is a water paint with antibacterial and immunizing properties, enriched by the addition of anti-mold and anti-algae agents that are absolutely harmless to humans, but with the function of preserving the wall for a very long time from the formation of the same molds and algae. The peculiar characteristics from Sanamur are: washability and stainability, resistance to abrasion and alkalis, final satin appearance.

Super suitable for sanitary environments, environments highly frequented by children (kindergartens, schools, playgrounds, gyms), and environments that require very high attention to hygiene such as canteens or kitchens both public and private, or anal laboratories.
