Hi! Welcome to this new article where we talk about one of the most important problems that takes place in the houses, that is how to eliminate mould present on the walls or on ceilings in your flat.
It is important to remember that mould is also the cause of many health problems, such as:
- Allergies
- Respiratory diseases
- Asthma (in important cases)
- Cough
- Conjunctivitis
So for this reason, it is very important to eliminate mould for our health, as well as an aesthetic factor.
In the last chapter, we have broached the problem of condensation, that is one of the main causes of the creation of mould. So we have realized that a preventive action made with a special heat insulating paint as MUROVIVO can make sure a priori that there isn’t the problem of mould in our home. (if you want read it again, this is the link https://resinacolor.com/condensation-in-home-and-the-negative-elements/
But today we will broach this problem by putting in the conditions that we are already in the presence of mould; so we understand how it is best to operate in order to have excellent and lasting results.
First of all the presence of mould may be due to two main reasons, that is the infiltration of water in the walls or in ceiling or for moisture and condensation present in the room (often due to a poor change of air).
In the first case, the problem should be solved above with more invasive technical operations, that are not of our responsibility. In fact it is always better to consult a technician to understand what are really the causes of the presence of mould in our house in order to avoid repeating or making wrong operations that don’t solve the problem, but that cause only the waste of money.
In the case where mould is due to condensation and then to a thermal exchange not controlled in our house, it is necessary to operate in an intelligent and in – depth way and not, as often happens, in a superficial manner.
What I mean by this??
Unfortunately in my fairly long career, I have really seen everything, for example sandpaper mould and then cover it with an anti – mould product.
As a matter of fact this is an operation completely wrong because we don’t eliminate the fungus of mould, given that sandpapering and covering it is just how to wear a clean dress to a sweaty man…the musty smell remains as well as mould remains; in fact, after not long times, the problem will present again.
Actually the correct procedure is this:
- Remove the fungus of mould with a product that melts mould (SD SPRAY) and that whitens already in a few minutes the surface.
- Kill the fungus of mould with a specific fungicide product (SANIMUF) that purifies the area infected by the fungus
- Paint the surfaces with the heat insulating product (MUROVIVO) or with a washable and anti – mould product (SANAMUR) or with a breathable and anti – mould paint (ANTIMUFFA highly recommended for ceilings).
But now we go more into detail of each of these three phases to understand in a close way the importance of each and the reason
- I dissolve the fungus because I avoid the sanding of inhaling a noxious substance, and especially I don’t allow the fungus itself to move from side to side.
- I kill the fungus with SANIMUFF because it is a product that penetrates in our surfaces, destroying directly the spore and avoiding then any new reproduction.
- I operate with a heat insulating product (MUROVIVO) on the surfaces in order to avoid that there is a violent heat exchange between the wall itself and the environment; this recreates new condensation and we are again in presence of mould.
I use a washable and anti – mould product (SANAMUR) if I am in the presence of environments that must be mainly sanitized as hospitals, clinics, and so on.
I use a breathable and anti – mould product (ANTIMUFFA) especially on ceilings, or in the presence of not very important locals such as garage and secondary laboratories; so I want also contain the costs.
Well, now you know the best strategy to eliminate mould, due to the presence of condensation or moisture, in your home or in environments that you go to more often.
Before closing with this article, I would like to present a new product that an anti – mould additive for paints: it is RC 88.
How is used this product?
Simply it is an additive that allows a preventive action in the formation of mould and that you can mix to all your paints, even to those decorative products.
In this way, if you want to decorate the wall and to avoid as much as possible the problem of mould, you can add this additive to your paint that will become an anti – mould paint.
Is it extraordinary?? Is that true?
Now I greet you, and I hope to have helped you to find some solution to improve non only your home, but also working environment.
Thank you again for the time you have spent reading this article, and I hope you have found it useful. If it is so, do not hesitate to share it with your friends or with people who need it.
